Active and safe pedestrian crossing were installed in Romania to increase safety of pedestrians crossing the road.
This solution has a warning signal placed inside the pole, a loudspeaker generating a warning message and illuminated D-6 sign (pedestrian crossing sign). Warning lights are activated by a pedestrian detection system, when a pedestrian wants to cross the road.
On individual customers wish, poles were produced in yellow-black stripes pattern, to additionally increase the visibility and provide safety for pedestrians.
