Flagpoles - we don't buy them every day, so it's not surprising that choosing the right flagpole is often not the easiest thing to do. However, if we manage to choose this one and only flagpole, there remains the question of assembling the flagpole... Types of assembly The Alumast flagpole can be installed in two ways - using a mounting sleeve or on a hinge bracket. Each of them requires a concreted hole with a mounting element installed, i.e. depending on the selected option - a mounting sleeve or a hinge bracket. For a quick understanding of how to mount the flagpole, below we present tutorial videos that show that the installation of the flagpole does not have to overwhelm us! Find out now that mounting the flagpole is easy! This year's ENERGETAB fair, although it certainly differed from previous editions due to the current situation, is one of the successful ones! The weather in beautiful city, Bielsko, was great and for the first two days we could enjoy the beautiful sun. We were one of about 250 exhibitors who appeared at the fair, wanting to strengthen the relationship with customers every year and show both our new, innovative solutions, such as charging stations in lighting poles, but also those already well known to our customers, such as DESIGNPOLE in version with a birch pattern. We can also proudly announce that we have won the Medal of the President of the Association of Polish Electricians for the SMARTPOLE CHARGER product, i.e. our electric vehicle charging station, which combines the function of charging and street lighting in a composite pole, as well as the award for intelligent pedestrian crossings SMARTPOLE CROSSING, which aroused the admiration of people evaluating the products, meeting all the required safety standards. The crossings were also quite a sensation, attracting the attention of people passing by, because thanks to the curtain motion sensor that is placed in them, the sound message was heard with every person passing by. We invite you to see the pictures from the Energetab fair below! The ManyPole7- composite solution

This time we focus on the topic of LED lighting, luminaire power, luminous efficiency and color temperature. LUMINAIRE RATED POWER This is the total power of the luminaire that we can measure on the power cord, including the light source and power supply. Fluorescent, sodium, metal-halide and other luminaires made in non-LED technology always have the power of the light source indicated, not the entire housing. A typical office raster had the power of 4 fluorescent lamps 18W (72W) plus a power supply (ballast) with a power of about 18W, which gave the rated power of the luminaire 90W. A typical LED panel that is a replacement for such a raster has a rated power (including the power supply) of 35-40W. It should be noted whether the supplier uses the rated power of the luminaire or only the light source itself. Moreover, there are many power supplies available on the market with a variable power configuration (you can easily turn up the LEDs to give more light while consuming more energy), so the supplier should inform us about the real rated power of the equipment ultimately ordered. RATED LUMINOUS FLUX Rated luminous flux: determines how much light the LED luminaire gives. It is worth distinguishing between the luminous flux of the diode (light source) and the entire luminaire after losses, which result from the efficiency of the diode, diffuser, housing and power supply. The range of losses that can be expected from the individual elements of the housing: - diffuser: 10 - 50%, - housing: 5 - 20%, - power supply: 6 - 20%. LIGHT EFFECTIVENESS It is the ratio of the rated luminous flux to the rated power of the luminaire, simplifying: flux after loss, compared to real power. If the diode itself has a luminous efficacy of 160lm / W with the nominal luminous flux of the light source 5280lm, we can expect that the rated luminous flux of the luminaire will be 4000lm with an efficiency of 121lm / W. No. Quantity Label Luminaire (lm) Industrial: LED; 5.0; Max; Version 1 86 surface mounted; 5000K; 185The best way to verify the results is to check the results in a lighting design made in the Dialux / Relux program (example above: lamp flux 5000lm / lamp power 66W = efficiency 185lm / W) and a document confirming the correct performance of lighting measurements. CRI/RA INDICATOR Color Rendering Index - in short, it is a value on a scale of 0-100 describing the quality of colors perceived by the human eye in the case of lighting any scene with a given light source. The closer this value is to 100, the more natural a person perceives colors. The maximum CRI has incandescent sources and the sun. Fluorescent lamps can be in the range of 65-90. LEDs from renowned manufacturers currently used in lighting have a CRI between 70-95. In practice, the difference in CRI between LEDs of the second and third type is insignificant today. Diodes with a two-component phosphor achieve CRI values of 90-95, classic diodes with one phosphor achieve a CRI of 80-85. It is worth mentioning that for human perception, the CRI value of at least 80 is a value that is completely sufficient for most lighting applications. It is worth mentioning that for human perception, the CRI value of at least 80 is a value that is completely sufficient for most lighting applications.A CRI above 95 is needed where the highest accuracy in color reproduction is needed (museums, art galleries, surgery rooms). COMPARISON OF SOURCE WITH THE SAME COLOR TEMPERATURE BUT DIFFERENT CRI VALUES Ideal for industrial and heavy-duty applications such as LEDs and lenses, they are selected at 3 SDCM, which gives us a guarantee of uniform light throughout the warranty period. Due to the participation of different wavelengths in the radiation spectrum, we can get the impression that the luminaires with the same CRI and color temperature have a different shade or even the color of light. CORRELATED COLOR TEMPERATURE (CCT) The shade of the light emitted from a given source is described by the color temperature, the value of which results from the blackbody theory. This theory describes an object that, when heated to an appropriate temperature, expressed in Kelvin, emits light that can be perceived as a warm color (<3300 K), a neutral color (between 3300 K and 5000 K) or a cold color (> 5000 K).A perfect example is an ordinary light bulb, which has a color temperature of around 2700K (warm white) because its filament is heated to this temperature. As in the case of power, it is not enough to specify the temperature of the diode itself (which is a popular practice), and the color temperature should also take into account the influence of the diffuser, optics (lenses) or reflector on its final value.Payback Period: This is by far the most important measure. Instead of using a simple price measure that tells us little in the context of the next years of using LED lighting, it is worth using a parameter that tells about the scale of savings that we will achieve. In addition to the price, the payback period also includes the cost of energy (kWh / PLN), the time of using the lighting (number of hours per day, number of days in a year) as well as the number and power of luminaires. To get the correct payback period, you should: make an audit of the current lighting (can be performed as part of an energy audit) prepare a project (based on clearly defined, predetermined guidelines regarding: uniformity, mounting height, intensity in a room, detailed specification) prepare an offer and finally calculate the payback periodOnly after completing the above steps can a reliable return on investment be calculated. Any attempt to shorten this process will give us results that are far from the real thing. The most common mistake is to compare the energy consumption based on a new project with the current energy consumption, which in many buildings deviates (in minus) from the norm. You can then come to the wrong conclusions that LED lighting will give us little savings. On the topic of luminaires, see our offer of lighting poles!Do you know how to design a fiber optic line? We will advise you!
You're wondering how to design a fiber optic line? We have everything you need! Product - composite telecommunication poles, a catalog of fiber optic lines and a recommendation of SBT (Association of Telecommunications Builders). Telecommunication networks, and more precisely fiber optic lines, in addition to the transmission medium itself, require the delineation and construction of a cable route, which is the structural place of cable installation. The fiber-optic line, which is often extensive and runs through very diversified areas, from undeveloped areas, through forest areas, mountainous areas, roads, private properties, to urbanized land and urban areas, rich in the category of installations, is a big challenge for designers. All these factors contribute to the difficulties associated with the construction of a cable duct, and it is this part of the work that generates the greatest costs. Assembly, transport of the necessary equipment to the construction site, heavy equipment often used, human work - this is what consumes the most funds at the investment stage. What designers struggle with? In order to shorten the time of preparation of the design, construction and reduce the financial outlays of the investment, the designers began to look for new solutions. It is precisely for the market that we have developed a product such as composite teletechnical poles, which are an excellent alternative to concrete and wooden poles. Composite poles solve many problems, including related to terrain difficulties at the installation site. It is for designers that we have developed the Catalog of overhead telecommunication lines on composite poles Part 1- fiber optic lines. This study is compendium of knowledge in the field of designing lines based on our poles. Guidelines for the design of fiber optic overhead telecommunications lines are suspended on composite teletechnical poles with the lenghts of 7m, 8,5m and 10m. The study adopted ADSS 12J¸ 144J single-mode outdoor self-supporting fiber optic cables, fully dielectric, with a light multi-tube structure, resistant to UV rays. All the solutions presented in it are intended for use throughout the country in all climatic zones. The presented profiles of poles take into account the selection of the structure of the stands for medium and weak soil. The catalog with guidelines is dedicated to designers, contractors and operators of teletechnical lines. The range of poles, fiber optic cables and accessories adopted in the catalog allows for their proper selection, depending on the climatic and terrain conditions on the route of the planned line. In order to properly select these elements, the following should be determined: climatic zone, type of fiber optic cable (with the required number of fibers), spans length (due to cable sag) and appropriate cable tension, type and height of poles ground conditions. Based on the chart showing the findings, select a column stand from album cards available in the catalog store. Assuming the function of the poles they perform in the overhead line, the album has developed their structures with the use of single composite poles. The silhouettes of the designed poles show their individual applications (functions) with the specification of mechanical parameters, cable suspension parameters, and the depth of burying the poles in medium and weak soil, depending on the adopted support for the permissible column load. The installation dimensions of the accessories as well as the height of the cable suspension are shown in the drawings of the reinforcement of these poles. The solutions presented in the album allow for the implementation of overhead telecommunication lines with spans lengths up to 50 m on poles with useful forces up to 2.5 kN. When developing a product which is a composite teletechnical pole with a catalog constituting guidelines for the design of a fiber optic line, we are convinced that we fully meet the market requirements, that we are going in t he right direction, which we can confirm with the SBT recommendation! The Association of Telecommunications Builders appreciated our work, thanks to which we achieved another success, and our poles can be marked with their recommendation. We want to assure you that the quality and safety of products are our priority, which is why we are so happy that we have further evidence of our actions in this area!Foundation selection for lighting poles
What foundations to choose for a lighting pole? What influences the selection of the appropriate foundation? We invite you to read the article to find out the answers to these and other questions! Lighting poles made of polymer composites, reinforced with glass fiber, can be dug directly into the ground, which is the best solution, which is limited only to drilling a hole in the ground. However, we do not always deal with coherent and concise land. Very often, lighting poles are placed on wetlands or on loose soil. The designer's task is to examine the land at the investment site. If the conditions indicate the necessity to build in the foundations, the type of foundation depends on the height of the lighting column and the spacing of holes in the column's base and mounting pins in the foundation. Two types of foundations are used for our composite columns: for columns with a height of 3 m to 6 m, the F 100/30 foundations with a spacing of pins 200 x 200 mm are intended, while for columns with a height of 7 m to 12 m, inclusive, they are used foundations F 120/43 with a spacing of pins 300 x 300 mm. The F 100/30 foundation is 1000 mm long with a square cross section of 300 x 300 mm. The F 120/43 foundation is 1200 mm long with a square cross section of 430 x 430 mm. The advantage of using foundations for lighting poles is the ease of plumbing the poles on the investment site after installation. The foundations are intended for the foundation of lighting columns, the fixing moment of which does not exceed Mg, and the soil strength G = 390 kN / m x m, (according to PN-EN 40). Foundations in the form of a monolith (single element) made of reinforced concrete, class C 30/37 with appropriate openings for inserting cables with a cross-section of max. 4x95 mm. The concrete in the form is mechanically compacted and constitutes a single block in which the nuts for fixing the pole base are embedded. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PREFABRICATED FOUNDATIONS: BETTER INSULATION PROPERTIES BETTER ANTI-WATER PROPERTIES (without concrete joint) as in the case of a traditional brick foundation. MADE WITH MORE CARE BETTER HEAT INSULATION TIGHT ANTIRADONE INSULATION EXCELLENT LOAD CAPACITY AND DURABILITY Assembly: Using an excavator, make an excavation in the native soil, 150 cm deep and 100x100 cm wide. In the case of a manual trench, the width of the trench may be smaller enough to allow the foundation backfill to be compacted with a soil compactor in layers every 30 cm. At the test site where crash tests are carried out, the existing backfill should be selected from the standard pit to a depth of 150 cm, and then the backfill at the bottom of the pit should be compacted. Before placing a prefabricated concrete foundation of the type, it is necessary to check the degree of compaction of the trench bottom. It is required that the soil compaction coefficient Id reach the minimum value of 0.8 as for the so-called very compacted soils. After setting and leveling the foundation, it should be backfilled with layers of backfill with grain size 0-31.5 (natural crushed aggregate). Each layer of backfill with a thickness of 30 cm should be compacted with a soil compactor.Composite ALUMAST telecommunication poles with SBT recommendation

Each occasion requires a proper decoration. A flagpole is an ideal and universal solution. Its cost is low and it can be used both for displaying an advertisement and celebrating holidays by placing the national flag on it. Which flagpole to choose? The flagpole market in Poland is very wide, you can find aluminium or composite flagpoles. So what to consider when choosing the right mast for yourself? Should you take into account only the price, or also other important requirements, that the flagpole should meet? Once you decide to buy the flagpole, it is worth answering a few questions that will surely help you to choose the right product and the material of which the flagpole is made. Let’s begin with those questions: do we want the flag display to be dependent on gusts of wind or should it be constantly displayed? should the flag be hoisted and lowered with the help of: external rope tied to the cleat, the rope hidden inside the flagpole or winch? should the flagpole be cylindrical or conical? how long is the mast planned to be used? should the flagpole be permanently mounted into the ground or should it be portable? Out of which material the flagpole should be made of? Both aluminium and composite masts have advantages that speak for their choice. The most important difference between the two is that the composite mast is more durable, which is why the warranty for brittleness of the pipe is as much as 25 years. The advantage of the composite is the fact that the material is resistant to adverse weather conditions and corrosion and has no scrap value. However, you should not completely give up aluminum masts, which also have a lot of advantages. Sectional masts have the advantage over composite flagpoles that transporting them is much more convenient. The package with the mast has a size of 380 cm, thanks to which it is possible to transport them by a forwarding company or even on the roof of a passenger car. Thanks to the sectional structure, it is also possible to adjust the diameters of the pipe segments to the customer's needs. Aluminium or composite flagpoles? There is a lot of differences between the composite and aluminium flagpoles, but the most important differences were gathered in the table: Aluminium flagpole Composite flagpoles Available height and weight of pipes sections (6-12m); weight 7 up to 22 kg conical(6-12m): 8-25 kg Maxima (13-22): 47-170 kg Thickness of the wall 2-3,5mm conical 3,5-4mm Maxima 6mm Number of sections 2-4 depending on the height of the flagpole conical 1 section Maxima 2 sections Warranty 10 years for brittleness of the flagpole, 10 years for the surface of the flagpole, 2 years for all parts of the flagpole 25 years of warranty for brittleness of the flagpole, 2 years for all parts of the flagpole Basic – aluminium; Other colours – according to RAL palette(extra charge) Basic – white; Other colours – according to RAL palette (extra charge) Is the composite flagpole more expensive than the aluminium flagpole? Comparing those two flagpole it seems as the composite flagpole - because of its 25 years - lifespan - will be much more expensive than the aluminium flagpole. The higher the composite flagpole, the lower the price calculated per meter of pipe. In case of aluminium it is completely opposite - for higher flagpoles it is necessary to use pipes with larger diameters and wall thickness, which translates into the price. Low masts - 6 and 8 meters high are slightly cheaper to be made of aluminum, 10 and 12 metre masts are more advantageous in the composite version. However the difference is almost unnoticeable. When planning the purchase of a flagpole, it should be treated as an investment not only aimed at displaying the company's advertisement, but also the opportunity to participate in state events or treating it as an element of urban architectureHOW TO CHOOSE THE FLAG TO THE HEIGHT OF THE MAST?
The selection of the appropriate size of the flag for the mast guarantees that it will look aesthetically and that the mast will serve for a very long time. We have a wide range of flagpoles in our offer, so choosing the right flagpole and flag should not be a big problem. The selection is so wide that we are able to choose the right flagpole and flag for every customer’s need. Types of flagpoles Our flagpoles are made of aluminum or composite. Aluminium flagpoles are sectional flagpoles, the consist of two or three aluminum tubes. The tubes are made of high quality aluminium of Polish production, the surface is protected with technical anode in natural color. Composite flagpoles are conical masts, their standard colour is white. Those flagpoles are entirely manufactured by us. Composite and aluminium flagpoles are available in three versions: the simplest version Standard flagpole - with a rope outside, intended mainly for national flags, version Super flagpole with the rope hidden inside the flagpole - perfect solution for national flags but also for advertising flags. Flagpole Superwindtracker is a typical advertising mast, it has an arm for the flag, thanks to that the flag is constantly displayed. This flagpole has another advantage - the horizontal arm is hoistable, thanks to this solution the flagpole can be easily converted to the version Standard in order to display the national flag on it. Which flag is suitable for the each type of mast? Depending on the selected type of flagpole, it is recommended to choose a different type of flag. To the Standard and Super version, it is recommended to select the horizontal flag. It has been assumed that the length of the flag should measure ¼ of the height of the flagpole. It is also worth remembering that when hanging the national flag, it is important to maintain the aspect ratio of the sides of 5:8. When buying a flagpole in the Super or Superwindtracker version, intended for an advertising flag, there are no top-down regulations that would regulate the dimensions of the flags. It is assumed that the flag is less than 1/3 of the flagpole height and no more than 150 cm wide. The width limitation results from the length of the windtracker arm, which is designed for this dimension. If a flag with a smaller width is selected, it is possible to fit the arm length to it. What are the recommended sizes of the flag for each flagpole height? When buying a flagpole, it is worth getting acquainted with the catalog card and warranty card, these documents indicate the dimensions of the flags recommended for particular types and heights of masts and information about the wind speed, when it is recommended to lower the flag. For sectional aluminum flagpoles with a height of 6 to 8 m, it is recommended to use a flag with a maximum size of 4.2 m2, for flagpoles from 9 to 12 m, this dimension is as much as 6 m2 of advertising space. For composite masts, the dimension for high masts is even greater, masts 10 to 12m can have a flag with an area of up to 7.5 m2! About what you should remember when hanging your national flag? It might seem that placing a national flag on a flagpole is no different from displaying an advertising flag. However, there are legal provisions that clearly define how the flag in the national colours should be treated. Above all, care should be taken to display such a flag in a dignified manner, it should not be dirty, crumpled or frayed. The national flag always has priority over other flags when hoisted onto the flagpoles, and it is also lowered last. It was assumed that in bad weather or on rainy days the flag should be removed so that it would not be damaged by strong winds or rains. It should also not contain any inscriptions or drawings. When deciding to buy a flagpole, it is worth considering its purpose and choosing a product that will meet our requirements. In case of problems, we can help you choose the right flagpole, flag size and help in developing the perfect advertising flag design.
